Modern Thrive is a fantastic resource for creative types and is hosting a really helpful workshop in April 2016. The workshop runs from the 6th – 8th of April, and is available to anyone worldwide as all three days of the workshop are hosted live online!
Each day features a one hour long session by one of three different artists. The artists are made up of Joanna Muñoz an artist specialising in lettering and design, Ryan Hamrick a very successful lettering artist who has worked with some really big brand names, and Roxy Prima another talented lettering artist with business skills! Combined these three artists have a great amount of knowledge on hand lettering and business.
This workshop will cover:
· Starting a hand-lettering business from scratch
· Honing your style and finding your niche
· Building your portfolio and attracting clients
· Breaking into commercial hand-lettering
· Designing products with hand-lettering
· Building a community around your art
If you can’t attend all of the live workshop sessions, or if you’re busy when they’re live, you can still sign up as the content will be available to you after. This is great if you’re busy or if you just want to go back over and refresh yourself on some of the content you’ve watched again.
Being able to take my hand lettering to a professional level is something very important to me, and I’m working on my own personal portfolio at the moment so I have signed up for this workshop.
