Lettering Tutorial has a new gallery feature which I’m excited to talk about. If you listen to my Hand Lettering Podcast you might already be aware of the new gallery hashtag I announced for you to use. If you’ve not had chance to listen to the podcast series yet, or you’re not caught up on the latest episode don’t worry as I’m going to provide you with the significant details of the new hashtag in this article.
The new gallery hashtag can be used to share your lettering that has been inspired by the quotes I suggest in the podcast. It can also be used to share lettering you create based on tips and suggestions you’ve heard in the podcast series. On top of those things you can also use the hashtag to just share your lettering progress!
The purpose of the hashtag is to not only show me your lovely lettering work, but to provide an easy way for you to look at each others work too. I’m sure as more of you discover and use the hashtag it will grow into a great way to find other letterers, develop a community and see all of the unique ways there are to letter something.
The new hashtag to use is #LetteringTutorialGallery. I spent a while thinking of what the best name for the hashtag would be as I wanted it to represent all of your great work, and to include the idea of community in it too. Some of the ideas I came up with were quirky, and some were very creative, in the end I decided it would be best to go with something simple and memorable. You can use the hashtag anywhere that hashtags work on social media, like Instagram, Twitter and Facebook. Instagram is probably the best place to use it though to get the full benefit from it. I know some of you have already gone through all of your lettered quotes inspired from the podcast and added the hashtag to them. So please feel free to go ahead and do that if you haven’t already, as it will help the new gallery to start filling up and that’s when you’ll benefit most from it.
The idea to use a specific hashtag came from Mirjana a regular listener of the podcast, and provides a fantastic example of how I can put your ideas and suggestions into action to better the content that I create for you!
